โฆ Synopsis
THOUGH abnormal communications between the oesophagus and respiratory tree seem to have been described as early as the eighteenth century (Mullard, * This paper was read at the Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India. bronchiectasis involving the whole of the right lung and the other cases had moderate to severe bronchiectasis of the lower lobe adjoining the abnormal communications.
Treatment (see Table ZZ).-Surgical treatment was carried out in all our cases. At thoracotomy the abnormal communication was seen to be a welldefined tubular structure. Each of them measured
