The glass transition temperature (T g ) of nanoporous polyetherimide (PEI) and PEI thin films was investigated. The T g decreased from its bulk value in both of these confined systems. Monte Carlo simulations were performed to calculate the nearest neighbor pore-to-pore distances in the nanoporous P
