load. In order to be independent from master scales, etc., the equipment will consist of test weights aggregating Ioo,ooo pounds. The weights will consist of Io,ooo pounds of 5o-pound weights, four 25oo-pounds weights, and eight IO,OOO-pound weights. A truck will be provided for carrying the weights while they are being shifted from point to point upon track scales during the test. The weights and truck will be housed and transported in a car specially designed for the purpose, and this car will be provided with power for handling the weights rapidly by means of a specially designed crane.
