Such materials have been used as membranes for ion-selective elactrades in aqueous solutions. They exhibit different responses towards the corresponding divalent ion (eg Pb*+, and Hg*+ rcspeetively). An interpretation based on a structural approsch is proposed to explain these khwiours. However, this interpretation cannot be confirmed with AgAsS,-MI, glassy systems without further strwtuml data.
