## Abstract Iodine added to iodide‐based ionic liquids leads to extraordinarily efficient charge transport, vastly exceeding that expected for such viscous systems. Using terahertz time‐domain spectroscopy, in conjunction with dc conductivity, diffusivity and viscosity measurements we unravel the c
