โœฆ Synopsis

The tunnel conductance in normal-metal/insulator/PrOs 4 Sb 12 junctions is theoretically studied, where skutterudite PrOs 4 Sb 12 is considered to be an unconventional superconductor. The conductance is calculated for several pair potentials which have been proposed in recent papers. The results show that the conductance spectra are sensitive to the relation between the direction of electric currents and the position of point nodes. Generally speaking, the tunnel spectra are believed to reflect the density of states in superconductor. The calculated results, however, often deviate from the shape of bulk density of states.

We performed local magnetization measurements in the superconducting state of PrOs 4 Sb 12 using micro-Hall probe. For a magnetic field applied along one of the principal axes, a remarkable dip structure in the magnetization hysteresis loop was observed close to zero local magnetic induction. The an

Superconducting pair formation in heavy fermion (HF) compounds is usually attributed to the exchange of over-damped bosonic spin fluctuation modes in the itinerant quasiparticle system. Local magnetization measurements were performed by micro Hall-probe technique in the superconducting state of PrOs 4 Sb 12 , in which the time-reversal symmetry is broken. We have observed positive, i.e. ferromagnetic like, local magnetic induction just below the superconducting transition temperatu
