โฆ Synopsis
Short tales about deadly books, by top mystery authors
*A thrilling new novella from the bestselling author of Six Days of the Condor *
Vin, a name of convenience for the agent known as Condor, has been released from psychiatric care and is back to work. The only problem is that his work now entails the mundane job of sorting through books meant for the incinerator instead of the high-adrenaline rush of being a covert spy for the CIA. Struggling to separate hallucinations from reality, Condor attempts to immerse himself in the task at hand, but his acute sense of danger soon overwhelms him. While wandering the labyrinth of the Library of Congressโs subterranean tunnels, he encounters a damsel in distress. Someone is following her, and Condor canโt resist the lure of covert opsโor placing his own life in jeopardy.

About the Author
James Grady (b. 1949) is the author of screenplays, articles, and over a dozen critically acclaimed thrillers. Born in Shelby, Montana, Grady worked a variety of odd jobs, from hay bucker to gravedigger, before graduating from the University of Montana with a degree in journalism. In 1973, after years of acquiring rejection slips for short stories and poems, Grady sold his first novel: Six Days of the Condor , a sensational bestseller which was eventually adapted into a film starring Robert Redford.
After moving to Washington, D.C. Grady worked for a syndicated columnist, investigating everything from espionage to drug trafficking. He quit after four years to focus on his own writing, and has spent the last three decades composing thrillers and screenplays. His body of work has won him Franceโs Grand Prix du Roman Noir, Italyโs Raymond Chandler Award, and Japanโs Baka-Misu literary prize. Gradyโs most recent novel is Mad Dogs (2006). He and his wife live in a suburb of Washington, D.C.
