Abstract

Using the representation of a completely stiff macromolecule as a long rigid rod and the representation of a semiflexible macromolecule as a chain of freely rotating connected effective rigid rods, the conditions of formation of the liquid‐crystalline phase in the solutions of such macromolecules are obtained and the diagram of states for the corresponding phase transitions in the variables temperature‐volume fraction of polymer in the solution is constructed.
