In the course of studies on the mediastiital lymphatics the writer found peculiar restricted patches and vascular networks in the parietal pleura m a r the aorta (fig. 1) of a human n e w h r n , which had died some hours after birth. Because structures like them have not been described iii the human pleura before, a brief account of their coristructioii and character is given here.
