โœฆ Synopsis

While the number of computers is increasing both in US schools and homes, no schools are presently systematically using the home computer as a part of everyday instruction. This paper looks at the effects of parental involvement in children's education, reviews information on computer presence in US homes, and discusses the few research projects that look at the home use of the computer for education. The paper concludes that activities are now taking place which will facilitate formal programs in US schools by the beginning of the 1990s.
