✦ Synopsis

I strongly agree with Jain and Binford that the journals and conferences in computer vision should accept and encourage papers on experimental results and applications, and that every effort should be made to achieve that end.

Having said that, however, I must express my strong disagreement with many of the statements made in Jain and Binford. In the following, I list the main ones.
