✦ Synopsis


Data from the Anger Camera were obtained by means of a data acquisition computer or high resolution film reader and stored on magnetic tape. Correction for nonuniformity was obtained for camera flood and stored for processing incoming data. In addition, a method of contrast enhancement which allows the user to visualize the resulting image and its histogram is described.

Computer processing of Scintillation

Camera data is becoming more widely utilized in the nuclear medicine environment since there is a need to correct nonuniform brightness response and to overcome the inherent lack of contrast manipulation in the standard system. The following digital computational techniques have been developed by our group.

## Abstract An algorithm is proposed which improves the spatial resolution of difference or effect images acquired with a keyhole sampling strategy. This new reconstruction algorithm uses __a priori information__ about sharp structures in the observed signal changes from a high resolution reference
