Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Order 497 deals with the marketing affiliates. According to Stuart C. Maudlin, president of Houston's EnerNet Corporation, the order requires, among other things, that open-access pipelines with marketing affiliates provide an electronic bulletin board that, for each transportation request involving the affiliate, lists the following: Transportation agreement Parties in agreement Nature of involvement of affiliate Dates Receipt and delivery points For each delivery point, by month Amounts of gas total volumes transponed maximum tariff price, list price, and actual average price EnerNet owns software that can meet these and other requirements.
