โฆ Synopsis
The paper describes the development of a Fortran code for simulation of a 7 irradiator cell using multi-element long-pencil radiation sources, The software enables the user to define, through a query-based algorithm, any finite segment of the pencil source as a point source, and any finite segment of the object space as the point object. The model assumes a small interaction probability viz. a vacant air-filled irradiation cell and only the direct incidence photons are considered. The software computes dose distribution from finite segment modules in the irradiator cell object space, as this is considered to be an essential step in irradiator productdose-ratio optimization, biological-shield design optimization and ozone-concentration predictions. Details of experimental verification of this code in a real-life supplies sterilizer medical plant irradiator are also presented.
