✦ Synopsis

The development of a PC-based system for acoustic-phonetic analysis and synthesis of speech is reported here. This system is being developed to serve as an experimental tool for Arabic speech processing. This paper describes the system hardware (data acquisition plus IBM-AT) components, software routines, and discusses its uses and features.
