β¦ Synopsis
This book starts with an overview of the research of GrΓΆbner bases which have many applications in various areas of mathematics since they are a general tool for the investigation of polynomial systems.
The next chapter describes algorithms in invariant theory including many examples and time tables. These techniques are applied in the chapters on symmetric bifurcation theory and equivariant dynamics.
This combination of different areas of mathematics will be interesting to researchers in computational algebra and/or dynamics.

This book aims at reviewing recent progress in the direction of algebraic and symbolic computation methods for functional systems, e.g. ODE systems, differential time-delay equations, difference equations and integro-differential equations. In the nineties, modern algebraic theories were introduced
This book concerns the numerical simulation of dynamical systems whose trajectories may not be differentiable everywhere. They are named nonsmooth dynamical systems. They make an important class of systems, firstly because of the many applications in which nonsmooth models are useful, secondly becau

This volume mainly deals with the dynamics of finitely valued sequences, and more specifically, of sequences generated by substitutions and automata. Those sequences demonstrate fairly simple combinatorical and arithmetical properties and naturally appear in various domains. As the title su
