โฆ Synopsis
Due to the wide use of computer integrated manufacturing system in modem industries, the traditional control charts that are based on sample of fixed number of items are not appropriate. This paper presents some alternative control techniques for automated manufacturing processes, which are based on the plotting of cumulative count of conforming items. The charting and decision making procedures axe discussed in the paper. This type of process monitoring techniques can be readily implemented with the help of on-line computers and modem inspection equipment commonly available in automated manufacturing environment.
