Neural networks found significant applications in microwave CAD. In this paper, after providing a brief description of neural networks employed so far in this context, we illustrate some of their most significant applications and typical issues arising in practical implementation. We also summarize
In this paper, a computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) system for the classification of rat liver lesions from MR imaging is presented. The proposed system consists of two modules: the feature extraction and the classification modules. 40 rats are used for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) induction with Die
The modern world is unaccountably full of things that get bigger and bigger, until you wonder what will happen to them in the end. One topical example is the Internet; the CAD literature is another. In 1990, this journal published 680 pages in 10 issues. Last year, subscribers received 12 issues con
## Abstract ## Purpose To develop and test a computerβaided diagnosis (CAD) system to improve the performance of radiologists in classifying lesions on breast MRI (BMRI). ## Materials and Methods A CAD system was developed that uses a semiautomated segmentation method. After segmentation, 42 fea
