Computeraided architectural design
Intensive course and applications fair for practitioners and teachers, University of Strathclyde, 27 Sept. -1 Oct., 1971. The Architecture and Building Aids Computer Unit, Strathclyde (ABACUS), is sponsoring a four-day intensive course on computer-aided architectural design followed by a one-day 'applications fair' for architects and other members of the design team in private practice, local authorities, regional hospital boards, etc. and for teachers in schools of architecture. The course, which runs from Monday 27 September to Thursday 30 September, will cover:
(a) design management applications (-job costing, CPM, specification writing, operational bills, automatic drafting, information retrieval etc.). (b) design decision-making applications (-cluster analysis, built from layout, movement studies, structures, services and lift systems, simulation performance appraisal etc.). (c) introduction to computer hardware and languages.
