✦ Synopsis
An interactive graphics computer package, developed for the analysis and design of steel plane frames, is described. The package analyses plane frames by the stiffness method and selects the least-weight wideflange section for each member within the frame. The package is currently being used in upper-level structural analysis and steel design courses.
