✦ Synopsis

Ionic mobilities of the simplest atomic ion, H+, are computed for its mixtures with neutral rare gases, He and Ne, using accurate pair potentials recently determined from crossed-beam scattering experiments. The computations are carried out at room temperature as a function of the ionic energy parameter E/N using classical solutions of the collision problem. Agreement with available experimental data is excellent, a fact which is discussed in relation to various features of the pair potentials used.
