Abstract

Simulation‐driven design of a quasi‐Yagi antenna for the 2.4–2.5 GHz band is presented that exploits a coarse‐discretization and surrogate‐based optimization. Computational cost is low because most of the operations are performed on the coarse‐discretization model, whereas the high‐fidelity simulation is used for setting up the surrogate and for design verification. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
