✦ Synopsis

The chemical composition of the essential oil of Clinopodium vulgare L. ssp. arundanum (Boiss.) Nyman collected from two dierent localities in Turkey, was analysed by means of GC and GC±MS. Thirtyseven compounds were identi®ed, representing 89.6±90.5% of the samples. The main constituents of the oils were germacrene-D, b-caryophyllene and b-caryophyllene oxide.
