✦ Synopsis

There are eight species and six subspecies of Calamintha (Lamiaceae) growing in Anatolia. In this study, the essential oil of C. nepeta (L.) Savi ssp. glandulosa (Req.) P. W. Ball, collected in northern Turkey, was investigated. Twenty-®ve components of the oil, in total amounting to 94%, were identi®ed by GC. The main components were pulegone (40.5%) and menthone (23.6%).
