Essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation from the aerial parts of Thymus eriocalyx (Ronniger) Jalas, at full flowering stage, from various locations in central and west Iran. Gas chromatography and gas chromatographymass spectroscopy analyses of the oils revealed that the major components,
