✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The preparation of complexes containing Ni(II) and Cu(II) as metal ions, racemic 1‐amino‐2‐propanol as ligand together with halides, nitrate and thiocyanate as anions, is described. Infrared and ligand field spectra have been used to obtain information about the coordination of the ligand. X‐Ray powder diffractograms of the complexes have been recorded. Conclusions about the structure of the complexes are drawn.
