✦ Synopsis
Dendritic derivatives containing a cyclotriveratrylene core for the complexation of fullerenes have been prepared. The association constants for the binding of fullerene derivatives determined by UV-vis titrations in CH2C12 and C61-16 are significantly increased as the generation number of the dendritic substituents is increased.

Polybenzyl ether dendritic branches with peripheral triethyleneglycol chains have been attached to a cyclotriveratrylene core and the supramolecular complexes obtained from the resulting macrocyclic derivatives and C 60 were found to be water soluble.
