โœฆ Synopsis

Several methods for the determination of vanadium are available, including spectrophotometric, spectrographic and polarograpllic techniques.

Early atomic absorption methodsl-3 were not sensitive. Application of the nitrous oxide-acetylene flame" and of complexing agents" provided better sensitivities; 0.8 mg/ml and 1.0 mg/ml of vanadium could be determined by the adclitions of aluminum ion and diethylene glycol to aqueous solution,pd by extraction of vanadium with cupferron in methyl isobutyl ketone (MISIC), respectively.
