Recent inelastic neutron scattering experiments on CeSi, (x=1.7, 1.8, 1.85. 1.9) ate reported. We discuss the origin of the cmssover transition from a Kondo-like state to a magnetically ordered state in this system by taking account of the experimental results.
The magnetic behavior of Gd-based intermetallic compound (Gd 2 Al Γ°1ΓxΓ Au x ) in the form of the powder and needle, is investigated. All the samples are an orthorhombic crystal structure. Only the compound with x ΒΌ 0:4 shows the Kondo effect (other compounds have a normal behavior). Although, for t
We have investigated the transport and magnetic properties in Yt\_xCexGa2. In order to separate the effect of hybridization from the simple dilution effect, the experiment was also made on La~\_xC%Ga 2 where the unit cell volume expands compared with CeGa 2. For dilute Ce, Y1 xCe~Ga2 exhibits a clea
We have studied the one-dimensional Kondo chain at half-filling using a density matrix formulation of the numerical renormalization group. As the exchange coupling J --. 0, RKKY interactions become more important, and the correlation length and the staggered susceptibility x(q = 2kv) diverge.
