The adsorption and decomposition of the volatile complexes MofCO)6, Fe(CO16, Co(C0)3NO, and MoC15 in various zeolites and the aluminophosphate mofecular sieve AlPO4-5 is described.

These complexes are used to generate highly dispersed metal clusters or oxycations which show novel catalytic properties.
