✦ Synopsis

The dynamic crosslinking of hard paraffin wax in the presence of dicumyl peroxide and potassium persulfate are investigated with differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared spectroscopy, and solubility analysis. The results indicate the occurrence of crosslinking, but there is an obvious difference in the respective crosslinking mechanisms in the presence of the two crosslinking agents.
