โฆ Synopsis
The use of patterning to interpret results from the Wechsler scales is a practice that long has been advocated. The identification of scales that are most affected by anxiety seems t o lend itself to such use. However, the experimenters in the present research feel that attempts to identify a pattern of subscale scores that would be diagnostically significant would be premature. The study also identified scales that were relatively free from the effects of induced anxiety, and this knowledge may prove more useful at the present time. Scales such as Comprehension, Similarities, and Picture Arrangement well may be regarded as particularly significant for Ss who are suspected of experiencing state anxiety during an examination.
