✦ Synopsis

In previous publications, the sedimentation behavior of different polydisperse solids in stabilized and destabilized suspensions was investigated, however, without evaluating the effect of physicochemical suspension properties. The present study focuses on the influence of electrolyte concentration on the sedimentation behavior of quartz suspensions. Investigations were performed with a manometric sedimentation centrifuge, and a laser reflectance measuring instrument.
