✦ Synopsis

Nuclear effects in neutrino-nucleus reactions simulated by means of the NUX+FLUKA Monte Carlo generator are compared with the theoretical predictions of the Marteau model. Pion absorption in NUX+FLUKA and non-pionic ∆ decays in the Marteau model differ by about 30%. The fraction of pions produced due to the re-interactions after primary quasi-elastic vertex is in the NUX+FLUKA scheme much higher then provided by the Marteau model.

The model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) has a better predictive accuracy for survival than the Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) system and has been the primary reference for organ allocation in liver transplantation. The CTP system, with a score range of 5-15, has a ceiling effect that may compromise

A model is presented to correlate data on LH levels obtained in recentlycastrated rats which receive daily injections of a single gonadal hormone. This experimental animal can permit a controlled evaluation of the feedback effects of individual gonadal hormones on LH behavior. First, the data on de

## Background: Neck metastasis is a major prognostic factor of head and neck carcinoma, but its preoperative detection is currently unreliable. molecular markers of the metastatic potential of a carcinoma would help to avoid unnecessary neck dissection in patients with nonmetastatic cancer. ## Met
