โœฆ Synopsis


The comparison of operating and simulated computer data for a tubular two-stage reverse osmosis plant has shown that general assumptions in the computer model are valid at seawater concentrations. However. accelerated deterioration of the membranes under the severe operating conditions in the first stage produces difficulty in relating computed data to the time dependent characteristics of the membranes. The second stage performance, which is equivalent to a brackish water unit, was predicted with considerable accuracy for a variety of module configurations.
