✦ Synopsis

A Quantitative Structure-Electrochemistry Relationship (QSER) study has been done on the half-wave reduction potential (E 1/2 ) of some organic compounds containing 73 aldehydes and ketones using multiple liner regression (MLR), partial least square (PLS), artificial neural network (ANN) and wavelet neural network (WNN) modeling methods. First, stepwise multiple liner regression was employed as a descriptor selection procedure. Then selected descriptors were used as inputs for artificial neural network and wavelet neural network models. In this paper we have studied the abilities of conventional ANN and WNN for prediction of half-wave potential (E 1/2 ) of aldehydes and ketones. Comparison of the results indicates that the ANN and WNN as nonlinear methods have better predictive power than the linear methods. The stability and prediction ability of these models were validated using 10-fold cross-validation, external test set, and Y-randomization techniques.

## Abstract An application of artificial neural networks (ANNs) for accuracy improving of the microwave FETs (MESFET/HEMT, dual‐gate MESFET) noise modeling is presented in this paper. The proposed model is based on a basic transistor noise wave model, whose noise wave temperatures are assumed to be

In classification problems the most commonly used neural network is probably the multilayer perceptron network (MLPN). The probabilistic neural network (PNN) is a possible alternative to the MLPN. The PNN is based on the Bayesian approach and a non-parametric estimation of the probability density fu

In this paper, a computer neural network has been developed for the simulation and prediction of plating rate and phosphorus content (P%) in the coatings, as a function of electroless plating bath composition and process parameters. Based on the optimized parameters, the model which is based on thre
