Compounds with the general formula SrCe,.,YbxOa.o,5, have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), temperature programmed reduction (TPR) and BET, and tested for catalytic activity with respect to dehydrogenation of ethane to ethene. XRD indicates that the s
