## Abstract Benthic diatoms were sampled at 197 sites in Finnish boreal streams. The diatom distribution patterns were related to environmental and spatial factors at three spatial scales using Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA). The results emphasized the predominance of chemicalโ€constituent
