## Abstract Small‐plot trials with formulations of ethyl ester and the trimethylamine salt of 2 : 4‐dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4‐D) are described. These showed that the ester was more effective than the amine salt against individual weed species at rates of application of 1/2 lb./acre or less. T
