✦ Synopsis

Calculated results for JAERI/USDOE collaborative experiments on fusion blanket neutronics have been compared with the experimental results, based on the same nuclear data and calculational code. The experiments include various geometrical and material configurations. The main interesting result is the tritium production rate in the lithium oxide breeder zone. The comparisons made it clear that there exist systematic discrepancies in the tritium production cross section of 7Li and beryllium scattering cross section. For tritium production, the present calculation can predict within 10% the experimental values.
