β¦ Synopsis
Early and late stages of phase separation in polybutadiene -diethylphthalate and sodiumsilicate glasses were studied within the framework of Cahn-Hilliard and Lifshitz-Slezov theories, mean sizes of phase particles, correlation length and diffusion coefficients were estimated. It has been shown that the main features of kinetics and morphology of the phase decomposition process are similar for both inorganic glasses and polymer solutions, absolute values of diffusion coefficients at different stages of the process are almost equal to the selfdiffusion coefficient of the slowest component.
