## Abstract Rapid and accurate diagnosis of symptomatic patients of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is highly desirable to minimize the spread of the disease in the society. We, therefore, compared the usefulness of various conventional diagnostic methods, the in‐house polymerase chain reaction (PCR),
