## Abstract Room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs), 1β__n__βbutylβ3βmethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, [bmim]BF~4~, and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were used for improvement of a praseodymium carbon paste ion selective sensor response. [bmim]BF~4~ can be a better binder than mineral oil
