โฆ Synopsis
Female white Swiss mice bearing the Ehrlich ascites carcinoma were treated with 6-mercaptopurine, methotrexate, 5-jluorouracil and DL-glyceraldehyde, alone and in combination, DL-glyceraldehyde was more effective against Ehrlich ascites tumor, as judged by 30-day post-inoculation survival time, than any of the three compounds with which it was compared. Combination of glyceraldehyde and 5-jluorouracil resulted in a slight potentiation of carcinostatic efect. DL-glyceraldehyde at carcinostatic dose levels was shown to have little toxic effect when administered for several days to white Swiss control mice.
