The YBa~Cu~O and LaBa~Cu~O oxides annealed at 500°C in oxygen or under vacuum h~veJ ~een studied ~s~ng J/Fe M6ssbauer spectroscopy. The M6ssbauer spectra have been fitted assuming three symmetric doublets.

These results are discussed in relation with electric-field gradient (EFG) calculations.
