Varian will co-market and distribute Mes-tReNova NMR processing software, recently released by Mestrelab Research, Spain (http://www.mestrec.com). MestRe-Nova delivers data processing, post-processing analysis, and reporting tools for Varian NMR spectra to the desktop PC. In addition, other vendor formats can be imported and co-managed. The software is available for Windows Vista or XP, Mac OS X, and a number of versions of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat. Addressing the needs of both pharmaceutical and academic researchers, MestReNova provides qualitative and quantitative information for the identification and structural elucidation of unknowns. Applications range from the analysis and identification of drug metabolites in biological samples to the structural characterization of target compounds in synthetic pathways.
