## Abstract A compact CPWβfed UHF RFID tag antenna for metallic objects is proposed. It is less sensitive to the size of metallic objects and has a low profile and a long reading distance. The antenna consists of shorting walls, CPW feed line, a tag IC, and a radiating patch with Ishaped slits. The

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
A UHF radio frequency identification tag antenna using an inductively coupled feeding method and meander lines is proposed. The antenna has a compact size (diameter: 0.08Ξ», 26.4 mm), wide bandwidth, and simple matching technique between a tag antenna and a tag chip. To get a physical operation of the proposed antenna, a simplified structure is presented and analyzed. An equivalent circuit model with a simplified structure has good results compared with a simulation. Β© 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A new type of a compact tag antenna, which can be effectively mounted on metallic objects, is proposed for UHF band RFID systems. The proposed antenna consists of a simple microstrip path and feed line, and it is fabricated on a very thin (1.6 mm) subtrate compared with previous works.
## Abstract A compact broadband patch antenna is proposed in this paper for global ultraβhighβfrequency (UHF) RF identification (RFID) applications. The antenna is composed of four synchronous shorted patches that resonate at four different frequencies, broadening its impedance bandwidth. A central
