## Abstract A novel compact ultrawideband (UWB) antenna with triple band‐notched characteristics is proposed. Triple narrow band‐notched characteristics are achieved by embedding a spade‐shaped slot on the radiating patch as well as adding a separated strip on the front side and a bowl‐shaped reson
