## Abstract A compact and simple monopole antenna with CPW‐fed structure is proposed for application in dual‐band WLAN systems. The proposed antenna, which resembles the shape of the letter “e”, has a compact size of only 27 × 18 × 1.6 mm^3^ including the ground. By fabricated and measured, the pro

Abstract
Compact printed antennas with a parasitic folded shorted‐strip for dual‐band WLAN are presented. The proposed antennas are based on the parasitic shorted‐patch structure, which is a popular approach for further bandwidth improvement. According to our simulation results, two prototype antennas are manufactured and measured. The obtained antennas operate in IEEE802.11a/b/g bands (2.4–2.484 GHz and 5.15–5.35 GHz bands) and can be adapted for various portable applications. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A dual‐band planar inverted‐F antenna (PIFA), presented here, covers both 2.4‐ and 5‐GHz bands used in all IEEE 802.11 WLAN standards. Computed and measured return loss and radiation patterns of the antenna are presented and are in reasonable agreement. Experimental results indicate a v
## Abstract In this article, a novel K‐shaped dual‐band antenna with a shorting pin for 5.2/5.8 GHz wireless local area network (WLAN) operations is designed and fabricated. To obtain sufficient bandwidth when return loss (RL) < −10 dB, a shorting pin is inserted in the patch and a coaxial probe so
## Abstract In this paper, we present a compact dual‐band dual‐polarized aperture‐coupled patch antenna for 1800/5800 MHz DCS/WLAN applications. With properly designed feeding network and patch dimensions, the antenna can provide a pair of orthogonal linear polarization states for dual bands operat
In this paper, we demonstrate a new and simple dualband design of a printed monopole antenna. The antenna consists of a crisscross monopole element with a microstrip feedline and a conductorbacked parasitic plane. The crisscross monopole and the conductorbacked parasitic plane are designed to achiev
