## Abstract A novel band notched UWB antenna for USB dongle application is demonstrated experimentally and numerically. By embedding an ellipse cutting in the antenna's radiator, an ultra‐wideband property is achieved. To create a band notched characteristic, stub lines are employed in the antenna.
